The Secret Diary of
Mary Queen of Scots
A brand new Children's Theatre show about Scotland's
tragic Queen; her birth, journey to France, return
to a turbulent Scotland, marriages, imprisonment
and executionÉ Phew! Join Mary on a zany, informative
and highly entertaining tour of her life, told
through her secret diary!
After the success of our last participatory schools
theatre project, Spik Nae Evil, we return with
The Secret Diary of Mary Queen of Scots.
Designed for P4 - P7's, Abderite will spend a
whole day in your school, delivering this fantastic
and imaginative programme.
The morning session will be split into two
workshops:
Workshop 1 Pupils learn aspects of Mary's life
through drama and creative dance. Workshop 2
Pupils rehearse the part they will play in the
theatre show.
In the afternoon, the children will see a professional
theatre show, devised by the company - and the
children will perform in it too!
Pupils participate as audience and as part of
the performance while learning skills in a new
and entertaining way.
Abderite would suggest that the P1 -P3's also
watch the theatre show so as the older pupils
have an audience to perform to!
The Secret Diary of Mary Queen of Scots will
be available to schools from:
6th Nov 2006 - 2nd Feb 2007
Timetable
of the day:
10:00 - 11:00 Queen Mary's drama and creative
dance workshop
11:15 - 12:15 Performance workshop - rehearsing
the part they will play
13:30 - 14:15 "The Secret Diary of Mary
Queen of Scots" theatre show*
*The actual performance will last 35 minutes.

Costs:
The Secret Diary of Mary Queen of Scots Schools
Theatre Project costs £250.
We can accommodate up to 40 pupils. However we
are more than happy to come to your school more
than once to accommodate as many pupils as you
would like!
